Contract scope

This Framework Agreement has been established through a collaborative procurement exercise undertaken by the public sector buying consortia comprising the ‘Pro5 Group’.
Full ranges of cardiovascular and strength equipment from leading suppliers of fitness equipment and also interactive electronic equipment such as dance machines and active walls and floors are available. The contract provides for advice on suitable equipment, gymnasium layout planning, installation, integrated audio-visual systems, maintenance packages for the supplied equipment*, marketing support and product training. The cardiovascular and strength equipment available includes treadmills, cycles, steppers, cross trainers, spinning bikes, ergometers, leg, shoulder, tricep and chest presses, lat pulldown machines, rowing machines, dip/chin machines, curl machines, leg extension machines, dumbbells, barbells, benches, punch bags, mats, racks, abductor machines and anything else from the suppliers’ ranges.
Associated services include installation, configuration, disposal, maintenance/support services and training.
* Note for maintenance only, customers should refer to ESPO Contract 107.
There are two methods for using the contract, one is where customers wishing to conduct a further competition exercise may tender for their specific requirements with the contracted suppliers. This is particularly suited to customers who require the full design, supply, installation and configuration of a gym facility and so is suited to projects but can also be used for purchasing large quantities of equipment to see if further discounts are available.
The second is via a price schedule for the call-off of equipment purchases without the need for further competition, this is aimed at those who have equipment only requirements.
In both parts there is no need for further competition if it can be said that only one supplier can meet the customers requirements.
